Philippines Eagle
Phillipine eagles are among the rarest and most powerful raptors in the world. They are found on only four of the 7,000 islands that make up the Philippines. This stunning bird of prey is adorned with long, brown feathers that form a shaggy, manelike crest. With a seven-foot wingspan and strong talons, they are fast and agile hunters at the top of the food chain. As apex predators, Philippine eagles are crucial to keeping their delicate ecosystems intact by regulating lower species populations and providing umbrella protection to other species throughout their range.
